Our recipe for top-quality and sustainable glass production starts with the use of natural elements. Quartz sand, which is the main component, is combined with soda to lower the melting point of the sand. Lime is added to make the glass hard, shiny, and durable. However, what sets us apart is our utilization of used glass as a key ingredient in our manufacturing process.
This significantly reduces energy consumption and minimizes the use of natural resources compared to making glass from raw materials. Additionally, we employ special processes to reduce the weight of the glass while maintaining its high quality.
Our glass production process involves several stages. In the melting phase, the mixture of used glass and primary raw materials is heated to an intense temperature of 1,580 degrees Celsius in furnaces powered by natural gas. The molten glass is then shaped through a continuous process. Hot glass drops are cut, directed into a channel, and fed into pre-molds. Compressed air is then used in the final molds to give the glass containers their desired shape.
After shaping, the glass containers undergo a gradual cooling process in specialized ovens to release any internal tension and ensure their stability. The surfaces of the containers are treated to protect them from scratches.
To ensure the highest quality standards, our glass containers undergo thorough testing at the cold end of our production line. We employ visual, mechanical, and electronic tests to detect any defects. Products that do not meet our stringent quality requirements are recycled by melting them down again.
